In ancient times, the seal was a symbol of imperial authority. In the modern era, handwritten signatures can be copied and digital ones forged—yet a personal seal, hand-carved by its owner, is utterly unique. The grain of its stone, the direction of the knife’s cut, even an accidental chip: all are one of a kind. It represents not “I consent,” but “I am here.”

It was this sense of “hereness” I wanted to share.

That purpose lives within every order:
A bride-to-be commissioned two seals—one with her Chinese name, the other with her fiancé’s English name—to be stamped side‑by‑side on their marriage certificate. “So two cultures,” she said, “stand equal in our love.”
A Silicon Valley engineer carved his company logo alongside the characters for “Original Intent.” He keeps it on his desk: “I look at it before every major decision.”
A mother ordered a small name seal for her son, who was just learning to write. “I want him to know,” she wrote, “his name is worthy of being carved and passed down with this much care.”

These stories convinced me: the seal is not obsolete. It was only waiting for a new context—no longer the authority of an office or an accessory to art, but a solemn affirmation of personal presence.

In our craft, we made gentle changes.
We choose stone for character, not prestige: the vivid red of Balin, the clarity of Qingtian, the steadiness of Shoushan—each stone’s natural grain speaks its own language.
For the script, we balance traditional small‑seal style with a modern sensibility, so even those who don’t read Chinese can feel the beauty of its lines.
Every seal comes with two ink pads: one in century‑old cinnabar red, rich and formal; the other in a soft matte coral, gentle enough for daily use.

Now, seeing orders from Paris, Tokyo, Sydney, Reykjavik—and watching names, carefully transliterated, being carved into stone—I always recall my grandfather’s words:
“Stone may break, paper may decay, but a promise stamped upon it will outlast a human life.”
